An Overview of What Can Rheometers Do to Help Investigate Pharmaceutical Gels
Yang Yang, Application Engineer, NETZSCH Scientific Instruments Trading (Shanghai) Co. Ltd.
Gel materials are increasingly widely used in the pharmaceutical field, such as injection gels with fluidity, filling gels with high modulus, and in-situ drug release gels that can rapidly transform from liquid-like to solid-like, etc. These gels show different rheological behavior under different specific conditions, which can expand the possibilities in drug application. This presentation is focused on how these special rheological behaviors affect the properties of a pharmaceutical gel from a rheological perspective.
